Atlanta apartment & condo movers
Apartment moves, planned floor by floor.
Elevators, loading docks, insurance certificates, tight hallways and a parking spot for the truck. Room & Road plans each one with you before moving day, so fewer surprises slow the crew down.
Why apartment moves run long
The clock runs while the elevator doesn't.
Hallways, elevators and long walks to the truck can add time to an apartment move. That's where hourly moves gain or lose time.
So we ask the questions up front: which elevator, which dock, how far to the door, and what your building needs from us. Those answers go into your estimate and your crew's plan.
Midtown, Buckhead and in-town high-rises
Every building has its own rules.
High-rise policies vary from building to building. Some need an elevator reservation, a deposit or a certificate of insurance with specific wording. Others, such as Axis Midtown, say they don't reserve elevators but have a service elevator for move-ins and move-outs. Ask both buildings for their current written move policy, then send it to us.
If the truck has to block a lane, street or sidewalk in Atlanta, ATLDOT requires a right-of-way closure permit. Check street loading and parking rules with the city, and share what you find with us.
- We protect your furniture, floors and doors from your room to the truck. Tell us your building's own protection rules, too.
- We recommend a crew size based on your belongings and the access at both buildings.
- Can't reserve an elevator? Ask management when it's least busy, and we'll plan around it.
Garden apartments and walk-ups
Stairs, breezeways and parking lots.
For a walk-up, tell us the floor number and the stairs at both addresses, plus any gates, parking permits or a clubhouse check-in. Stairs change how long a move takes, so they go into your estimate.
Moving into a townhome? Tell us which floors your rooms are on. We include stairs and room locations in the move plan.
Choose the right help
Full move, labor only, or packing.
Want the whole job done? Book a moving crew with our truck. Already rented a truck or a container? Book labor only for loading and unloading. Short on time? Add packing, and we'll box up the kitchen and closets before the truck arrives.

Questions
Apartment and condo moving FAQ
How much does it cost to move a 2-bedroom apartment in Atlanta?
Our moving crews are $159/hr for two movers and a truck and $209/hr for three, plus one travel hour. The hours depend on how full the apartment is, the floors at both ends and elevator waits. For example, three movers working 5 hours come to (5 + 1) × $209 = $1,254. Your written estimate uses your actual addresses and floors, and your signed agreement sets a binding total.
Do I need a certificate of insurance (COI) for my building?
Ask your property manager whether a certificate of insurance is required and what wording it needs. Send us the requirements when you book.
What if my building won't reserve the elevator?
Ask management about quieter elevator times. We'll use that to plan the crew and the start time.
Is there a minimum?
Yes: 2 hours on weekdays and 3 hours on weekends and holidays, plus one travel hour. Time is billed in 15-minute steps.
Can you just help load my rental truck or PODS container?
Yes. Labor-only help is $129/hr for two people and $179/hr for three, with the same minimums.
Do you move people out of Georgia?
No. We move homes within Georgia, so both your current address and your new one need to be in Georgia. Our hourly rates cover moves of 50 miles or less; longer moves inside Georgia are quoted separately.
